Isn't it ironic

The first time that Steve has to be away...

He had to go for a couple days trip to Montreal to bury his grandfather. My mom is arriving tomorrow, so it's only about 24 hours that I'm alone with the kids. Not that different from the average day.

...But, it just so happens that just a couple of hours after Steve leaves, the fuses for both our fridges blew out. We never had that happen here before, and we weren't doing anything out of the ordinary that I can think of to cause it.

If it had happened a week ago, not a problem, throw everything in the shed and it'd be as cold as a freezer, but it wasn't meant to be. I guess that's life.

Thankfully, there's the sweetest guy, a true knight in shining armor who's always there when you need him and happy to help.

So he came over and looked at the fuses, but our house's wiring is so ancient that the fuses where screwed up beyond help, so he rescued the food from my freezer. Hopefully it survives at their home there for a few days without being ravaged.

John...you're the best! We love you!
